RCFR Chief Larry Farley states, “We want to emphasize our ongoing messages during this time. Please turn around, don’t drown. Driving down a risky roadway is not worth the potential danger of the situation.”
If you find that your way of travel is blocked by flooding, officials ask you to find a safer way of travel or to stay home and allow the water levels to fall.
Rutherford County Fire and Rescue has two full-time stations with a total of 27 career firefighters. RCFR also has well trained volunteer firefighters that are also working alongside the career firefighters.
