BLUE RAIDERS WILL PLAY ON ESPN FAMILY, CBSSN, BEIN AND STADIUM
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men’s basketball’s 2017-18 schedule currently boasts 21 broadcast games across multiple networks with 11 of the Blue Raiders’ 13 home contests being shown on either CBS Sports Network, ESPN3 or Stadium.
“This is a great number of TV games for us this season and I think a lot of that is based on our recent success and people thinking that our team has a chance to compete at a really high level again this year,” Head Coach Kermit Davis said. “It’s great exposure for our players, our program and Middle Tennessee State University.”
A pair of regular season home contests have been picked up by CBSSN as the Blue Raiders host LA Tech at 8:00 p.m. on Jan. 11 and WKU at 7:00 p.m. on Mar. 1.
Six MT contests in 2017-18 can be found on the ESPN family of networks with the lone home game from the group taking place on Jan. 13 against Southern Miss at 5:00 p.m.
The Blue Raiders will play on SEC Network+ at Vanderbilt on Dec. 6 before being nationally televised on SEC Network against Auburn in Birmingham on Dec. 16.
Middle Tennessee then travels to Honolulu, Hawaii, for the Diamond Head Classic where they open play on ESPNU against Princeton on Dec. 22. The Raiders will play Akron or Southern California on Dec. 23 on either ESPN2 or ESPN 3 and will conclude their participation in Hawaii with an ESPN2 or ESPNU game on Christmas Day.
“It’s great to be back in the ESPN family so much this season,” Davis added. “Obviously playing teams from our region in Auburn and Vanderbilt on SEC Network is terrific and then the chance to go out to Hawaii and play three more games on ESPN networks will be a great opportunity to continue increasing our national brand. I’m really happy for our players and our program.”
In its second year as a partner with Conference USA, beIN will televise MT’s contest at Marshall on Jan. 18 in a 7:00 p.m. contest.
New Conference USA television partner Stadium picked up the remaining 12 broadcast games on Middle Tennessee’s schedule. Those 12 games include home eight home contests against Belmont (Nov. 16), Florida Gulf Coast (Nov. 21), Ole Miss (Dec. 9), UTSA (Jan. 25), UTEP (Jan. 27), Rice (Feb. 8), UAB (Feb. 24) and Marshall (Mar. 3).
The Blue Raiders will play four road contests on Stadium including the C-USA opener at UAB (Dec. 30), at WKU (Jan. 20), at Old Dominion (Feb. 1), and at LA Tech (Feb. 17).
Stadium will also broadcast all four Conference USA Championship Quarterfinal games on Mar. 8 while CBSSN has the rights to the C-USA Semifinals (Mar. 9) and Finals (Mar. 10).
